Terms of Use

1. About 2x

2x is an influencer-brand marketplace that connects small and medium-sized businesses ("Businesses" or "Brands") with micro and macro content creators ("Creators" or "Influencers") across Africa, with initial operations focused on Nigeria.

The platform enables Businesses to create and fund advertising campaigns, and enables Creators to discover, join, and earn from those campaigns by producing and posting content on their social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

2x Marketplace Limited acts as the intermediary marketplace operator. We do not guarantee specific campaign results and are not a party to the underlying advertising relationship between a Business and a Creator.

2. Eligibility

To use the 2x platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a resident of or operating a registered business in Nigeria or another African country where 2x operates
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• Not have been previously suspended or permanently banned from the 2x platform
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration

3. Account Registration

3.1 Business Accounts

To register as a Business on 2x, you must provide your business name, business category, type of business, contact person details, address, and other required information. You must verify your email address via OTP confirmation before your account is activated.

3.2 Creator Accounts

To register as a Creator on 2x, you must provide personal information including your niche, location, social media profile links, and connect your Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok accounts. Your social media profile URLs will be submitted for authenticity scanning and fraud verification.

3.3 Account Security

• Use a strong password and not share it with third parties
• Notify us immediately at support@2xbiz.com if you suspect unauthorised access
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

3.4 One Account Per User

Each individual or business entity may only maintain one active account on 2x. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules, bans, or pool caps is strictly prohibited.

4. Platform Services

4.1 For Businesses

• Create General Campaigns distributed to matched creators
• Create Premium Single Campaigns targeting one specific creator
• Fund campaign pools via virtual account number or card payment
• View real-time analytics including creator performance metrics and affiliate link conversions
• Access the Media Library to view and download creator content
• Manage active campaigns and review campaign history
• Report creator misconduct within an active campaign

4.2 For Creators

• Browse campaigns matching their niche and join eligible General Campaigns
• Accept or decline Premium Campaign invitations sent by businesses
• Receive a unique 2x affiliate link for each campaign
• Submit published social media post links after posting campaign content
• Upload campaign media files to the platform for business review
• Track real-time earnings and wallet balance
• Withdraw earnings to Nigerian bank accounts subject to 2x's 1% withdrawal commission

5. Campaigns

5.1 General Campaigns

When a Business activates a General Campaign, 2x's algorithm automatically matches the campaign with eligible creators based on niche, category, and location. Multiple creators may participate in a single General Campaign, each drawing from the same pooled fund.

5.2 Premium Single Creator Campaigns

A Premium Campaign targets a single creator identified by email. The Business sets a base fee, which is deducted from the pool immediately upon the creator accepting the campaign invitation. A 3.9% 2x commission fee is also deducted from the total pool upon payment.

5.3 Campaign Pool and Fund Distribution

• A 4.9% 2x commission fee is deducted immediately for General Campaigns; 3.9% for Premium Campaigns
• Pool distributes NGN per qualifying goal met (conversions, views, likes, comments, or store visits)
• Pool deductions and creator wallet credits are updated every 30 minutes
• No single creator may earn more than 40% of the total pool in a General Campaign
• If the pool is depleted, the campaign will automatically end

5.4 2x Affiliate Links

Each creator receives a unique 2x affiliate link combining: (1) the business's destination link; (2) a unique creator identifier; and (3) a 2x tracking parameter. Manipulating, spoofing, or generating fraudulent clicks is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all pending earnings.

5.5 Content Submission

After publishing campaign content, creators must submit the post link and upload the content to 2x's Media Library within the campaign timeline. Failure to do so may result in ineligibility for earnings under that campaign.

6. Payments and Wallet

6.1 Business Payments

Businesses fund campaign pools through Flutterwave, using a dedicated virtual account number or card payment. All amounts are in Nigerian Naira (NGN). 2x does not store raw card details.

6.2 Creator Earnings and Withdrawals

• Wallet balances are updated every 30 minutes
• Two-factor authentication (OTP) is required to authorise every withdrawal
• 2x charges a 1% commission fee on each withdrawal; Flutterwave gateway charges also apply
• Withdrawals are processed to Nigerian bank accounts only

6.3 Non-Refundable Campaign Funds

Once a campaign pool is funded and activated, the 2x commission fee is non-refundable. Remaining pool funds may be eligible for partial refund upon Business request to stop the campaign, less amounts already credited to creators.

6.4 Dispute Resolution for Payments

If you believe a payment was processed in error, contact us at support@2xbiz.com within 14 days of the transaction. We will investigate and respond within 2 business days.

7. Creator Obligations

• Provide accurate social media profile information and not submit fraudulent or purchased follower accounts
• Create and publish campaign content that adheres to the brand brief and creative guidelines
• Include the correct 2x affiliate link in campaign content
• Submit post links and upload content to 2x after publishing
• Not fabricate or manipulate engagement metrics through bots, click farms, or any artificial means
• Mark sponsored content as #ad or #sponsored in accordance with Nigerian regulations
• Notify 2x if unable to complete a campaign you have joined

8. Business Obligations

• Provide accurate and truthful information about your business, products, and services
• Not create campaigns for illegal products, services, or activities
• Fund campaign pools with sufficient amounts before activating campaigns
• Ensure all campaign briefs comply with applicable laws and do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights
• Use campaign analytics and creator data only for evaluating campaign performance

9. Prohibited Conduct

• Creating fake accounts, submitting false identity information, or impersonating another individual or business
• Using bots, scripts, or automated systems to artificially inflate impressions, clicks, views, likes, or comments
• Manipulating, tampering with, or reverse-engineering the 2x affiliate link tracking system
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Using the platform to facilitate illegal transactions or money laundering
• Circumventing the 40% pool cap or any other platform rule
• Sharing account credentials with others or operating accounts on behalf of banned users

Violation may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of pending earnings, and referral to law enforcement authorities.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 2x Platform IP

All intellectual property in the 2x platform — including its software, design, trademarks, and proprietary algorithms — is owned by 2x Marketplace Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

10.2 Creator Content

Creators retain ownership of the original content they create. By uploading content to 2x, you grant 2x Marketplace Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and make the content available to the relevant Business through the Media Library for campaign evaluation purposes.

10.3 Business Campaign Materials

Businesses retain ownership of all media assets they upload. By uploading these materials, you confirm that you have all necessary rights to use and distribute them.

11. Social Media Platform Compliance

By using 2x, you agree to comply with the terms of service and community guidelines of all social media platforms on which you post campaign content. Creators are solely responsible for ensuring their content complies with these platforms' rules. 2x is not responsible for content removed by social media platforms or for creator accounts suspended by those platforms.

12. Ratings, Reviews, and Reports

After a campaign is completed, Businesses and Creators may rate each other. These ratings influence creator ranking and campaign matching. Users may report suspected misconduct through the platform's reporting function. False or malicious reports are prohibited.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The 2x platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not guarantee any specific campaign results, including sales, conversions, views, or earnings.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 2x Marketplace Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform.

In no event shall 2x's total aggregate liability to any user exceed the total amount paid by that user to 2x in the 12 months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2x Marketplace Limited from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with:

• Your violation of these Terms of Use
• Your campaign content and any claims that it infringes third-party intellectual property
• Your violation of any social media platform's terms of service
• Any fraudulent or deceptive conduct on your part

16. Account Termination

16.1 Termination by You

You may close your 2x account at any time by contacting us at support@2xbiz.com. Creators must ensure all pending withdrawals are processed before closing their account.

16.2 Termination by 2x

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you have violated any provision of these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal conduct, or posed a risk to the security of the platform. Earned but unprocessed creator wallet balances at the time of termination for non-fraud-related reasons will be processed within 30 business days.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall first be subject to good faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Federal High Court or State High Courts of Nigeria.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
